Is a hairdryer provided? Yes. Will you lose cell service just 30 minutes from the house? Also yes. Knowing that we live in an atypical place, here's what we usually tell guests ahead of time.

There are two important things about driving here. First, you will totally lose service 30 minutes out because the mountains eclipse the signal. We can meet you to drive the rest of the way with you, or you can use offline maps.
Second, the lane to the house is steep and rugged. While we paved it in 2023, we don't recommend driving up the mountain lane unless you are in an ugly, AWD vehicle. Cars can be safely parked at the bottom of the lane and we will drive you the rest of the way up.

This really depends on the season. Generally, we don't have serious bug issues indoors or out, which is saying a lot for a house made of sticks in the middle of the woods.
There are about two or three weeks of the year where marmorated stink bugs and asian lady beetles are looking to overwinter in our eaves. During this time, and the time when they exit back out after the last frost, there is an annoying amount of them. We try not to host friends here during those times, but you might get unlucky.
05.
We don't have any.

There is a gas station and convenience store about 15 minutes from the house. 25 minutes from the house is a small town with a Dollar General and a garbage grocery store and a CVS. 45 minutes away there is a town with a Walmart, a hospital, and restaurants.
